Time flies when I'm stitching. The first fiber career was knitting, then crochet, then weaving, then sewing. After a hundred pairs of socks, nearly a hundred sweaters, countless scarves and shawls, lots of throws, both knit and crocheted, over 50 items of clothing, it's time for a new stitch. I have started quilting. Since that seems to be a popular blog topic, expect more quilting posts. My knitting patterns are available as free downloads here and on Ravelry. My older knitting posts are archived to preserve my notes about various projects for my future reference. Someday, when I am not busy knitting, weaving or sewing, I intend to move those notes to the corresponding Ravelry projects. I have one or two of the oldest posts that I have preserved because they explain things. For example, if you wonder about the title of my blog, look at the oldest post--2007.
What I hope people realize is that any time you try to change very entrenched, very established interests, it's not going to be easy, and it's not going to be clean, and it's not going to be quick and you're going to lose sometime.
